GAY PLAYA DEL CARMEN - One of the TOP Gay Travel Destinations in MexicoPlaya del Carmen is about an hour south of Cancun. Playa 69's name isn't subtle, but hey, neither is the club. The club is a popular spot for drag performances. Gay Pride is usually in June in Playa Del Carmen. It is not a very big event. Usually there is a small procession through town and a small bar event that day. Staff was friendly, drag show was entertaining and the dancing atmosphere and outdoor space were fun and friendly. Nothing fancy, but definitely a fun night.
